The post-”Delavega“ Tribulation Universe is comprised of three main sections and one spin-off called Tribulation: Ensemble. The Beginning of the End is made up of three chapters that set up the entire Tribulation story after the events of Delavega and Plans for You. In short, it’s the story’s “introduction”. The second section is called The Countdown; followed by the third section, The Remaining. The spin-off title is currently in its concept construction and plot design phases. What are these? Concept Construction is the phase of an Omni Labs project that involves creating the ideal or overall tone of the final product. The Plot Design phase is an Omni Labs process tagged with written works for The Library (a non-linked menu item) involving exactly what the name suggests: creating the plot(s) of the story.
Below are brief analyses of each major component of the Tribulation Universe:
Beginning of the End
It’s present day 2011 and things seem to be normal for an unsuspecting world. While people across the globe carry on with their lives, darkness brews from New York to California. Rejoin Terrance Sinclair, a sagen now on his way to complete depression after the events in Plans for You, and Jason Fortescue, a teenage sagen who is actually five hundred years old, as they attempt to track down the one young child prodigy destined to save the world from annihilation in an age-old prophecy. Finding him turns out to be a mildly rough ride as Jason is forced to unleash his elementalism in the middle of a night club as a diversion to bring Alex Conner to safety. After the fiasco, Jason and Terrance attempt to convince the fourteen year old that he is a “key” they have been looking for, for a long time.
The Countdown
As Alex starts his training to become a powerful Sagestic in the shadow realm Syrah, Jason becomes evermore concerned with strange events occurring across the globe in the normal world, all seemingly caused or provoked by a demon as old as time: Shemhazai, a fallen angel that led a sect of two hundred more to earth sometime after the Great Flood to mate with humans and produce the hybrid offspring of human and angel known as the Nephilim. This race of giants is recorded several times throughout the Holy Bible; first appearing on record in Genesis 6:4. While Jason sends sagens in pursuit of Shemhazai, a troubled teen deals with constant manipulation from the spirit of Trigger, Jason’s old arch enemy from Delavega.

The Remaining
Jason is dead, murdered by Shemhazai. Alex wields the ultimate element known as “Enova” or “the power of the angels”. Maka helps Dodger in his struggles with Trigger’s possessions. Terrance pities himself over Vanessa’s death and seeks revenge. With the team split up across the globe, Yuri, the Anti-Christ and self-proclaimed ruler of “his new world”, sits comfortably in his manor and watches as civilizations around him burn by his own hand. Now is the time for Alex to fulfill the prophecy written so long ago; but he won’t be able to do it alone. And will it really be him who stops Yuri? Or Someone else?
Tribulation: Ensemble
Set sometime after the events of the original Tribulation; Jason, Alex, and just about all of the original protagonists have returned; but as doppelgängers of their original selves, separated across universes. One of these universes, where a doppelgänger of Alex is found, is one that may be very familiar to many readers. While Jason and the rest of the team have gained the fragments of memories passed to them by their original counterparts, Alex seems to be the only one that doesn’t have any recollection of a life beyond the one he’s known in his current universe. His father, however, knows a lot more than he lets on to his gifted son. Jason must now make tough decisions, for he may either regain a powerful ally, or create a formidable new enemy.
Music Soundtracks
Many (if not all) of the Tribulation Universe stories will feature soundtracks composed by popular artists. These are not “original” soundtracks in any way (most are from movies or popular video game OST albums). Many of them have been selected simply because they “fit” the scene or background of the story being told. Featured artists include Harry Gregson-Williams, Jesper Kyd, Jack Wall, and more. The main theme for Tribulation is Jack Wall’s Suicide MIssion, which was composed for the original Mass Effect 2 EA games soundtrack.
